The B.B Synthetics app is the wholesale saree catalogue and ordering app of B.B Synthetics. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can have it deleted.
What we collect
- Your WhatsApp number — you log in by sending a code from your WhatsApp to our business number; the number that sends it becomes your account. Customers outside India may type their number instead.
- Business details you enter — bill name, address, pincode, booking place, transport and business type. Used to approve your account, prepare your order, bill and dispatch, and to open your account in our books.
- ID for verification (India) — your GST number, or a photo of your PAN card or Aadhaar card (front and back). Your phone reads the number from the photo; we check it matches the details you typed. PAN / Aadhaar photos are seen only by our staff while approving, and are deleted (from our servers and our staff group) as soon as your account is approved or declined.
- Business proof — without GST, an existing business sends a photo (shop board, visiting card or a bill in its name) and a new startup records a short live video about its plans, to confirm the business.
- Your order — the designs and quantities you select.
- Payment screenshots you upload — read to confirm your bill payment (amount, date, reference number, payee). Your phone reads the text first; if needed the image is checked by Google's AI service.
- Chat messages and files you send to us in the app.
- Device information — a random app ID, a push notification token to send you order updates and new designs, and error reports (no personal data) to fix crashes.
- Country and approximate city of your internet connection (from your IP address) — to know whether you are in India or abroad when you sign up, and roughly where you are if you do not share your location.
- Your shop location (optional) — when you sign up or first log in, the app asks once for your phone's location to verify your shop. It is taken only at that moment (never in the background, never tracked) and is seen only by our staff. You can say no and still use the app.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not show advertising or track you across other apps or websites.
- We never ask for card numbers, UPI PINs or passwords. Payments are made in your own UPI / bank app.
Who processes the data
Data is stored on Google Firebase / Google Cloud servers (India region) and on B.B Synthetics' own computers (Tally accounting). Order messages reach our staff through Telegram. Payment screenshots may be read by Google's Gemini AI service. These providers process the data only to run the app for us.
How long we keep it
Order, bill and payment records are kept as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires (GST records: at least 6 years). Chat messages and screenshots are kept while your account is active.
Delete your account and data
Open the app → My Orders → menu (⋮) → Delete my account. Your account, your details and ID photos are deleted at once; a business-proof photo / video you sent stays with our staff as part of our business records. Bills and payment records stay as Indian tax law requires. You can also ask in the app chat or tell our staff. Removing the app deletes everything stored on your phone.
Children
The app is for businesses (traders and shops) and is not meant for children under 18.
